11th April 2012, was an eventful day for Hindustan University loaded with several activities at different venues. Free Heart Check up camp organized by Y’s Men International Madras District , Placement activities and to top it all it was a great opportunity for the Languages Department of the School of Humanities to organized an interactive meeting with young talented author Harsh Snehanshu. The meeting was held at Good Shepherd Hall packed with enthusiastic audience constituting engineering students of our University with literary interest and staff from Languages Department.

The programme commenced with a Welcome Address by Dr. Usha Mahadevan, HOD. Languages Dept. She appreciated Mr. Ashok Verghese, Director for initiating this event and thanked Ms. Akkara Sherine , Asst. Prof. English , the coordinator of the programme. She introduced the Chief Guest Harsh Snehanshu an IITian and the author of the novel “Ooops! I fell in love” and “Ouch! That Hearts”.

Harsh Snehanshu shared his views about his accomplishment as an author and his keen interest in his pursuit and goal. He answered a flurry of questions raised by staff and students. They were awe struck at his intelligible and humorous ways of answering queries and it struck an instant harmonious chord with the entire audience.

The students also had a great chance to meet Mr. Rajeev Mahadevan, Assistant Systems Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services and curator of TEDx SRM. Students were eager to know more about TEDx and he briefed them about the same. He also encouraged the students to involve in the formation of TEDxHindustan.

A student Ms. Jennifer proposed the Vote of Thanks. She stated that it was a great opportunity for the students and staff to have Mr. Harsh Snehanshu and Mr. Rajeev Mahadevan at Hindustan University and also appreciated them for their lively interaction with the students. She also thanked the staff and students for evincing keen interest and appreciated them for a lively interaction. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
